Visual Studio 7.x Installation Problems

Trouble typically seems to occur when users have had 2 versions of VS on their systems. And more likely if a Beta version was installed at some time. I'm getting a constant trickle of bad reports (maybe 1-3 a month). So not many. Test labs normally ghost their machines so often don't see problems because of their clean installations. The MS Help team agreed that any instability in H2 Engine - best thing is to remove H2 applications and reinstall everything:
