About Dave

Dave became a Microsoft Help MVP in 1999. Dave is the Electronic Media Coordinator at the School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where folks think it’s fun to ask, “What’s cooking?”. He manage ‘A Cook’s Nook’, an online cooking and food discussion forum with just a few die-hard fellow cooks from across the country as members. Dave is also actively writing a cooking blog under the moniker 'LunaPierCook' for the Monroe Evening News in southeastern Michigan, and is in the process of gearing up a restaurant support firm developing web sites, graphics, video documentaries and software, in cooperation with the Chefs at the Frog Leg Inn in Erie, Michigan.

Dave has 4 kids from a previous marriage, who all love spending time with his wife Mary whenever they’re able to visit. Dave and Mary live 1000 feet from Lake Erie in with her two sons, four cats, a timid and tennis ball-loving Jack Russell Terrier, a spastic-but-loving Pomeranian, five computers (one being an Apple laptop, and another being an SGI O2), a massive book collection (mostly cookbooks), and more unique coffee mugs than should be allowed for one person.
